Connected At Home

In the past few months, the use of telehealth video calls has exploded. This seems virtually perfect (pun intended) for patients with compromised immune systems, those who may have concerns about exposure, or those who care for at-risk individuals. Policy makers, health providers, and insurers have responded to this public health emergency and expanded coverage efforts to increase access for patients. Although it is a relatively new method of healthcare delivery, it is a promising solution for patients of any age. Once connected to the call, patients offer a verbal consent, and the appointment begins – it’s really that easy.

As the COVID-19 response evolves, the staff and doctors at Prairie Eye Clinic are dedicated to being with you each step of the way by offering innovative ways to stay connected. At this time, we are pleased to deliver continued care from the safety of your home through telemedicine. Although we realize not every concern can be addressed and our advanced diagnostic testing may not be available in your home, we will be able to give an evaluation of a wide range of conditions and concerns. Having real-time, interactive audio and video allows for maintained health checks without risk of exposure; some conditions may include: red or itchy eyes, allergies, and dry eyes.

We look forward to serving you in ways you feel safe and comfortable – even in your pajamas!
